Educational Qualification

For eligibility of the TES 54 course, candidates should have:

Passed 10+2 (Intermediate) or equivalent exam with minimum 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) from a recognized board.

Appeared in the JEE Mains 2025 exam. This is a prerequisite for the TES 54 application.

Age Limit

Minimum Age: 16 years 6 months

Maximum Age: 19 years 6 months

The candidates must be born between 2 July 2006 and 1 July 2009 (both dates inclusive).

Procedure for Selection in TES 54

Selection procedure for TES 54 course consists of the following stages:

1. Shortlisting of Applications:

Candidates will be shortlisted by Indian Army on JEE Mains score and merit.

Only the shortlisted candidates will be intimated through call letter for the SSB Interview.

2. SSB Interview (Services Selection Board):

This is a two-tiered process that takes 5 days.

Stage I: Screening Test (verbal, non-verbal, and PPDT)

Stage II: Psychological Tests, Group Testing Officer Tasks, Personal Interview, and Conference

Only the candidates clearing Stage I are allowed to go to Stage II.

3. Medical Examination:

Only the candidates shortlisted after the SSB interview will be given a medical test to determine their fitness.

4. Final Merit List:

The final selection depends on SSB performance and medical fitness.

Shortlisted candidates will be trained at the Indian Army training academies.

Training Duration: 4 years

Cadets will be awarded a Permanent Commission in the Indian Army in the rank of Lieutenant after successful completion of training.

Cadet Training Wings at MCTE Mhow, CME Pune, and MCEME Secunderabad
